Whilst GB Developments shareholders have been purchasing central london property in one form or other since 1998, June 2007 marks the end of the first year with Simon Grace as managing director, since leaving Cushman and Wakefield Residential. During this period GB have contracted to purchase close to 150 residential apartments with a value of approximately £50m.
Managing director, Simon Grace, commented "I believe the amount of units we have purchased over the last 12 months confirms our commitment to the central london residential market. In all instances we have acted quickly and efficiently, as demonstrated when we agreed terms on Greenwich and exchanged just 8 days later. This demonstrated our ability to act and draw down sufficient funds swiftly when required.
Our objectives remain to be a significant investor in Central London development opportunities. Product selection remains targeted upon our strict investment rationale based upon anticipated growth in selected areas. The location's prospects, and it's potential for significant regeneration due to existing or improving transport facilities and commercial, retail and leisure led infrastructure improvements are paramount. In addition, the product itself has to combine to attract both buy to let investors and occupiers alike."
